I rearrange the furniture in our home monthly, and I’m very thankful for a supportive husband who just rolls with it. He has happily moved the kids’ play kitchen down, up and back down the stairs again. This past week I had him move a bookshelf from my office to the living room. I definitely have an unhealthy obsession with constantly moving furniture.

Recently I’ve been working to get the kids toys organized and up off the floor, but also storing them where they can reach and play with everything easily. As much as I love a spotless home, I also realize that the kids won’t be little forever and I’ll miss the toys one day. I posted this DIY Dress Up organization a few weeks ago and the girls have been loving it. It’s cute and organized, but also easily accessible for them.
This past week, we put away our Christmas decorations and got our house back in order. After my husband moved around some furniture for me, we had an empty area downstairs beside our staircase that I really could have left alone, but decided I wanted to put something there.
I decided to set up a little table for the girls where they could eat, color, craft.. whatever they want. I found this perfect little white table and these adorable aqua colored chairs. I wanted to have their crayons and other supplies easily accessible, but also high enough that the baby couldn’t reach.

I decided on this idea that only requires a curtain rod and a few buckets with handles. I added these clear shower curtain hooks I had left over from this closet makeover. The hooks make it easier for the girls to bring the buckets down if they want.

I already had this three level hanging basket, but actually still hadn’t found a good place for it, so it was hanging in a coat closet. I decided to store the kids’ play food in it because Juliette loves serving us all the food she “makes”. I also arranged the food in rainbow color order like the crazy person that I am, like it’s really going to stay that way for long, haha!

I hung up one of our letter boards and I’m really excited to use it more often for all the festive things. The girls love the whole set up, and when Connor gets a little bigger, maybe we can add a third chair to the table so he can join in on all the fun!
