I can’t believe I’m even talking about the tooth fairy already. My first baby, Ayva, is only four. I thought I had at least another year before I had to think about loose teeth and tooth fairy visits.

On Christmas Eve, Ayva mentioned to me that her tooth hurt so I took a closer look and sure enough, her tooth was wiggly. I cried. How?! How is this happening?! Some people might think it’s dramatic to get emotional about this, but this is my first born we’re talking about. My little ride or die nugget, losing her teeth so big, adult teeth can come in. I wasn’t ready.

I always have to do it up big when it comes to holidays and special events like this, so as soon as that tooth wiggled, I hopped on amazon prime and got to work on making this special day even more magical than it already is. Less than 48 hours after we noticed the wiggly tooth, Ayva and I were eating lunch together when she pulled her sandwich down slowly and told me there was blood on her food. I quickly looked in her mouth and the tooth was gone! She was so excited that it was finally out and I just cried because I was so happy for her. We filled out her certificate to document which tooth fell out and how it happened, read The Night Before The Tooth Fairy and tucked her tooth pillow in the perfect spot in her bed. The Tooth Fairy did not disappoint.

The sparkly dollar bills were a hit, but I’m glad the Tooth Fairy knew Ayva really wanted a coin, too. Her total payout was $5.25 and she is thrilled! She’s also loves holding on to all of my receipts so I knew she would love one for this occasion, too. All of this fun made it a little easier to accept that my baby is growing up.
